Silent Retreats

Living in intimacy with the Heart

Nowadays many people find themselves in a state of anxiety, burn-out, feelings of worthlessness or being completely bored with their current conditions that are created around them. We hurry from one event to another, wake up to go to work, from one meeting to another and in the mean time trying to take care of our intimate relationships, family and social contacts. Busy is the new status quo, and just keep on going until the body finally needs to pull the emergency break.

The art of PAUSING we easily forget. It is so intimately available, that you can easily pass by, as many of us do today.
The art of LIVING seems to be turned out into something mind made, rather then a surrender to the open invitations of the heart.

Some years ago, I found myself at the feet of a lake in Guatemala, surrounded by tremendous vulcanos.
I was boiling inside, desperately inquiring about the sense of it all. The sense of live and me being in there.
I was as free as a bird, the world was literally on my feet.
I could go wherever I wanted.
And yet, I wasn’t able to enjoy it.

I felt senseless, without purpose. I wanted to contribute to life in a way that truly felt authentic.
Not just a trip from a travel magazine, that temporarily makes me feel better because I did something for people that have less then me, and then going back to my ordinary life. No, there was something behind this veil I felt, that was contracting me, and keeping me imprisoned in this body. Like something was holding me back, to live fully.

People I  met at the Lake, told me about a place in Mexico, Mazunte, that more of them seem to be travelling back and forth too.
That day, I decided to try and find what these people were so mesmerized by, and where they obviously experienced deep inner transformations.

That was the day I first encountered Hridaya Yoga.

Do you know those moments, that you feel like time stood still?
In that moment I found this tiny little ocean village, on the Mexican Pacific shore, it was like I was absorbed, and my heart stopped beating.
I knew that was my next destination…
Without knowing yet how to get there.

My heart ran out before me…
Like she was already there.

What I didn’t realize yet, was that, from that moment on, my life start taking another turn…

The Hridaya Silent Meditation Reteat – A Homecoming into your authentic Self

The Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreat is a unique immersion experience which uses an artful integration of meditation and yoga techniques to access your real and essential nature, known as the Spiritual Heart, the Supreme Self, or atman.

During the retreat, you will explore the Spiritual Heart from a variety of perspectives, including esoteric Christianity, Sufism, and Kashmir Shaivism. In the advanced stages of practice, all paths of authentic spiritual traditions meet and merge into the same ineffable Reality.

During this program you will stay in complete silence and keep a solitary attitude while receiving a set of inspiring teachings and lectures  to provide you with the opportunity to reach the deep states of consciousness that enable the revelation of the Heart. The approach is a unique integration of Advaita Vedanta, Tantra Yoga, and Dzogchen.

You will learn a form of Self-Enquiry meditation inspired by the non-dual teachings of the great sage Ramana Maharshi.

Most importantly, this retreat will help you experience what it means to be centered in the Heart. This means to be aware of that peaceful and eternal core of your being, which cannot be perceived by the rational mind but is the source of all inspiration, love, and beauty.

No previous meditation or yoga experience is necessary as this retreat is designed for beginners and advanced meditators alike.

This retreat is guided in English.
